Multipe Instances on Yahoo Messenger

Here's a tutorial on how you can run multiple instances on any version of Yahoo Messenger.
For those who don't know yet it's so easy. Here's how:


1. First Yahoo Messenger should be install in your system.
2. Click Start or Press the Window key then click on Run.
3. On the Run command type in regedit and press Enter or Click OK.

For those who don't have the Run Command, simply navigate to My Computer then Click on Drive C then on the WINDOWS folder find regedit and click it.

4. After you open regedit, you will see different HKEYs. HKEY or Handles to the Key are the access points to all the configration settings in a Windows computer. Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder and find the Software folder and expand it again.

5. After you've expanded the Software folder, look for the yahoo folder, expand it again and look for the pager folder and expand it then look for the Test folder then click it.

6. At the right side of the Test folder you can see the String Value Default. There are two choices you can do just choose which do you prefer to use:

1st: Click on the Edit Menu, Highlight New then DWORD Value and name it as Plural.

2nd: Right-click on any space on the right side of the Test Folder, Highlight New then DWORD Value and name it as Plural.

7. After creating the DWORD Plural, Double click it and Input 1 on the Value Data and the Base click on Decimal and click OK then close the Registry Editor.

8. Run the Yahoo Messenger and as you can see you can open more than one YM.

There you have it the steps on how to run multiple ym's at the same time. Now you can open another YM account without signing out your own account.

Note: Don't touch anything on the registry if you don't have the knowledge about it. It could cause abnormalities on the operating system.
